1971 Boston Whaler restoration
Referred to as a "rib-side" this boat has a classic and unique design with beautiful solid teak console and woodwork throughout.
This boat was stripped down to a bare hull, sanded, filled repaired and epoxied and the classic teak and mahogany wood-work throughout was completely refinished to its original beauty!
Stay tuned as we progress through this exciting project!
Stairway Upgrade
This homeowner wanted a fresh look to make their staircase more of a focal point in their foyer. Deetails removed the old and dated, painted rails, spindles and newel post and replaced it all with new. Also had to repair areas where old elements were installed while still maintaining the vintage era of the home.
Kitchen Table and Chairs
This solid butcher block table and chair set had surface damage and was in need of a darker finish. Deetails stripped, sanded and re-finished the top and seat surfaces to match an updated color theme in the kitchen.
Basement Bar
This solid oak bar top was damaged and drab, but had such potential in this nautical themed basement. Deetails stripped, sanded, stained and refinished the top. A rope border was added along with extra tiered storage behind the bar for bottles and glassware.
Heirloom Marble top side table
This beautiful early 20th century antique was a diamond in the rough. The marble top was cleaned and polished and the ornate table base was stripped and painted. After some scrubbing, it was revealed that the base for the marble top was cherry wood which was then refinished and renewed
Cocktail Table Refinish
This beautiful (and expensive) table suffered a nail polish spill. Rather than throw it away or buy new, DEETAILS decided to cut-out the center section completely and replace it with a solid rich- grained poplar and refinish the entire top. Results were better than new!
Triple Mailbox Post
These neighbors were embarrassed by their shabby, mismatched mailboxes. Rather than going the brick masonry route like so many others, they wanted something unique, yet not too big since it had to accommodate 3 mailboxes. DEETAILS designed, built and installed this classic and substantial post as an effective and appealing solution.
Former Laundry turned Mud Room
When the homeowner moved their washer and dryer up to the second floor, DEETAILS converted the space into an attractive and practical mudroom area. Now, coats, back-packs, hats and gloves are neatly organized in an uncluttered environment.
